Professional Master’s Degree in Statistics (M.Stat)
The Professional Master’s (M.Stat) Program offers a customized and individualized programs based on the interests and career objectives of the student. The students can choose to focus their studies in any of the following areas:
- Applied Statistics for Industry
- Financial Statistics and the Statistics of Risk
- Bioinformatics, Statistical Genetics, and Biostatistics
- Statistical Computing and Data Mining
- Environmental Statistics
- Preparation for Ph.D. Studies in Statistics, Mathematical Economics, and Finance
Students are required to take 30 hours of approved coursework. Some areas of study require an internship.
No thesis is required for the M.Stat degree. No financial support is available for the M.Stat students.
