A panel of experts in sports analytics and gaming risk management will gather at Rice University’s Duncan Hall on Friday, Sept. 4 to discuss the use of analytics and data science to recognize talent, maximize player and team performance, and manage multi-billion dollar budgets. Big data technology is boosting fan interaction and influencing gaming markets worldwide.
The lineup of speakers is part of the 9th Eubank Conference on Real World Markets, which is hosted by Rice’s Center for Computational Finance and Economic Systems (CoFES). The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Statistics and the Department of Sport Management. The keynote lecture will be delivered by Darren Rovell, Senior Executive Producer of The Action Network.
All participants are required to register online at Eventbrite.com for the conference, poster session, banquet and short course. Attire is business casual.
Due to the generosity of the event benefactors, there is no cost for the conference. However, there is a fee for Monday’s dinner banquet and a registration fee for the Tuesday, April 28 short course.
